Great toy I didn’t buy this ball from Amazon, but saw it as I was browsing through toys for my dog and was surprised there were no more reviews for it. This toy has withstood my 3 1/2 yr old cocker spaniels attentions for well over a year and is still operating and functional and, more importantly, giving him fun! Basically, the ball is hollow and has an adjustable hole in which you can put whatever treats you think your dog will go for- dry ones though or they won’t fall out and it could be tricky to wash! By making the aperture smaller or larger you can adjust the difficulty rating of the toy. We started out with it quite wide until Alfie got the idea and then gradually have reduced the size so he has to really work for it. The dog can sniff the treats inside the ball and has to roll the ball around either with his nose or his paws. When it rolls with the aperture facing downwards, a treat is dispensed. The dents in the surface mean the dog can pick it up, but has to learn the treats don’t…

A good way of keeping your dog occupied A great interactive toy for your dog. Fill the ball up with kibble (probably best from their daily food allowance) or some treats, set the opening on the toy to either a quarter (hard mode) or a half (easier mode) and give it to your dog to play with.I only put a handful of kibble in the first time I used this and it kept my 7 month old pup quiet for over 15 minutes as she rolled it around the kitchen trying to get all the food treats out of it – she managed to get every one, but she is a Labrador so I should have expected that if food was involved! The toy I received was a dark blue plastic rather than the bright red shown in the picture but that didn’t really matter – especially not to the dog! When you first open the toy there is a very strong smell of plastic but that does fade after a couple of days in the open air and it didn’t deter my dog from playing with it.This is definitely one of those ‘got to get’…
